Stravinsky: Le Sacre Du Printemps / The Rite Of SpringĪ work probably best described as classical marmite … but love it or hate it, Stravinsky’s ballet Le Sacre Du Printemps / The Rite Of Spring is a twisted homage to spring. Set in pagan Russia, the score is based almost entirely on fragments of no more than nine traditional Russian folk songs.
